Why does EarthLinks support Safe Outdoor Spaces in Denver?
As a part of the EarthLinks mission, we uphold the values of dignified housing that is accessible to all and approached from a trauma-informed lens. That is why we have taken on the huge project of staffing and overseeing one of Denver’s first Safe Outdoor Spaces, consisting of 22 tents which will provide temporary shelter over the next six months for up to 30 women and transgender people.
Safe Outdoor Spaces are healthy, secure, staffed, resource and service-rich environments that prioritize people experiencing homelessness who are not accessing existing services or resources. These dedicated sites will include the following resources and services:

Want to give feedback and get updates on the Safe Outdoor Space?
We will be hosting virtual “Town Hall” meetings for the Safe Outdoor Space the third Wednesday of each month starting January 20th lasting until May 19th, 2021. All meetings will be from 6:30-7:30pm (MST). Please email our Executive Director, Kathleen Cronan at email@example.com to get the Zoom meeting link!
In collaboration with Capitol Hill neighbors and Safe Outdoor Space coordinators, we have developed the Good Neighbor Agreement to ensure that the SOS integrates respectfully with the surrounding neighborhood.
