New volunteers are asked to attend a New Volunteer Orientation. Orientations are held once a month at EarthLinks. The next orientation is scheduled for Monday, October 10, 2011, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. To sign up, please contact Cody Meinhardt.

We are looking for more individuals who …..

• Desire to volunteer their time, energy, and insights with others, especially with low-income or disadvantaged individuals.

• Have an ability to show initiative and willingness to follow through on projects.

• Are sensitive to diverse people — by being willing and able to be with and learn from people who are economically poor or different from yourself.

• Want to connect with like-minded people to make a difference for our Earth.

• You can teach an art class

• Offer counseling services of all sorts:  legal, psychological, social work, financial

• Sales Volunteers:

We are in need of volunteers to help sell our products at different events.   A schedule for the upcoming sales can be found here.

• EarthLinks Workshop Volunteers:

You may help with workshop preparation, flow of materials, and quality control.  You may also visit with participants and make some of the crafts. (Tues. Wed. & Fri. mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.) A minimum 6-month commitment is requested.  Information: Cody Meinhardt email or phone 303-389-0085

• Nature Trips Volunteers:

Go along on our nature trip with our participants, help with the food preparation, and visit with our participants who come from a variety of shelters.

• Garden Volunteers:

A volunteer will be gardening with a staff person and participants. Roles will include planting, composting, watering, weeding and harvesting, and most importantly: visiting with participants while you work with them. This can be done at either the EarthLinks Peace Garden, at 2828 Larimer Street, or one of three other urban garden locations in central Denver.
