EarthLinks is an innovative program that combines the goal of sustaining the planet with that of sustaining the urban poor.

We connect people who have experienced or are presently experiencing homelessness with nature, offering innovative programs, providing healing adventures, sense of community, and support toward empowering life changes. Through the EarthLinks Workshop Program and Day Trips into Nature, these women and men have a chance to experience new learning, the welcome of community, and enjoy the peacefulness of the natural world. The experiences are simple and yet profound.  People’s lives are touched, spirits renewed, their bodies relaxed, and prepare them to meet life’s many challenges.

Why We’re Here:

EarthLinks began in 1996 through the vision, initiative, and dedication of two Catholic religious women, Bette Ann Jaster, OP, and Cathy Mueller, SL. Over their many years of service in the community, the two women noted profound fragmentation and deep hunger for connection and belonging. This cry came from diverse people in many different circumstances. The founders knew it was possible to create experiences that foster relationships, build community, encourage healing, and deepen our understanding of our relatedness with all life. These are the beliefs that guide EarthLinks today.
